Commissioned 75D Twin Screw Underwater Pelletizer For Silane Cross-linked PE, 700kg/h Stable Output

Our factory has finished full test run of a custom-built 75D co-rotating twin screw pelletizer equipped with underwater cutting system recently. Fitted with a 315kW main drive motor and a 44:1 L/D screw barrel, this machine is specially engineered to process silane cross-linked PE compound. Actual production test proves its steady capacity hits 700 kilograms per hour when running with target material.

Silane cross-linked PE is prone to premature crosslinking, bubbling and agglomeration during extrusion caused by moisture and unstable temperature. We optimized screw configuration and barrel zoning based on the 44:1 length-diameter ratio. The barrel is divided into feeding, compounding, multi-stage vacuum venting and pumping sections. Multiple high vacuum vents effectively remove residual moisture and volatile contents inside raw material to avoid defective pellets.

Adopting fully closed underwater pelletizing technology, molten polymer is extruded into cooling water for instant shaping. Final pellets feature uniform shape with few sticking or hollow defects. Follow-up stainless steel centrifugal dewatering and air-drying units keep pellet moisture at a proper level, so end users can directly use these pellets for cable insulation and pipe production without extra drying process.

Pellets made on this equipment are widely applied for wire & cable insulation and cross-linked plastic pipes, matching daily production demands of medium and small modified plastic manufacturers. This model is available for regular delivery now; we can adjust machine configurations according to clients' real formulation and workshop layout, supplying complete machine set and on-site commissioning service for global plastic compounding partners.
