The barrel of the twin-screw granulator is segmented for large twin-screw granulators. The purpose of using segmented barrels is to facilitate mechanical processing and save some precious alloy steel.

The team barrel is widely used. For example, the barrel of the meshing counter-rotating twin-screw granulator and the conical twin-screw granulator mainly use the team barrel layout.
Large twin-screw granulators use segmented combined barrels. The purpose of using segmented combined barrels is to facilitate mechanical processing and save some precious alloy steel. In the meshing coaxial twin-screw granulator, the barrel layout is mostly segmented, and the barrel is composed of several bars of the same length. Some of the barrels provide the inlet, while others provide the outlet or additive inlet.

 

The barrel sections of the twin-screw granulator:
1. The barrel: The length L is 100mm per section, with a total of 11 barrel sections. The barrel sections are made of 45 steel with alloy sleeves, and the sections are cooled with water.
2. The first barrel section is the feed barrel section, the eleventh is the vacuum barrel section, and the twelfth is the extrusion barrel section.
3. Other barrel sections are closed barrel sections.
4. The outer barrel is protected by a stainless steel barrel cover.


The twin-screw extruder can be divided into three stages:
1. The physical change laws of polymer in the extrusion process, the true and regularity of solid-liquid transportation and ventilation in the extrusion process, and construct mathematical and physical models to guide the design of the twin-screw granulator and the upgrading of the extrusion process.
2. The specific conditions of two or more polymers and materials in the extrusion process, the mixing shape, structural changes, and the final mixture and its relationship with performance.
3. Extrusion as a twin-screw granulator reflects the reaction process, rate, characteristics, and screw structure during the forming process. Establish a model in the operating standard to guide the reaction forming extrusion.
