How To Choose Different Thread Elements
Single start threaded element It has higher solid conveying capacity. It is commonly used to increase the feeding amount by short feeding. The thick screw edge can prevent material leakage. It is commonly used to increase the strength and pressure of melt pumping locally. Double-thread element The free volume rate is larger than that of a three-head element, and the shearing rate is low at the rotating speed of a through screw, thereby being suitable for conveying low-bulk density powder materials, occasions without high shearing and processing materials sensitive to shearing and temperature. Three-start thread element Compared with the double-head element, the screw groove is shallower, so that higher shear rate and shear force can be applied to the material under the same screw rotating speed; and the screw groove is shallow, so that the material layer is thinner, the heat conductivity is good, and the plasticization and melting of the material are facilitated.
