The screw configuration and extrusion process is generally divided into five sections: conveying section, melting section, mixing section, exhaust section and homogenizing section.

1. Conveying section: convey materials to prevent overflow.

2. Melting section: this section can fully melt and homogenize the material through heat transfer and frictional shearing.

3. mixing section: the size of the material granulation is further refined and uniform, and an ideal structure is formed, which has the functions of distribution and dispersive mix.

4. exhaust section: impurities such as water vapor and low molecular weight substances are discharged.

5. Homogenization (metering) section: convey and pressurize;establish a certain pressure, so that the material at the die mouth has a certain density meanwhile it can be further mixed, and finally the purpose of smooth extrusion and granulation is achieved.
