Structural Characteristics Of Three-screw Extruder
The structural characteristics of the three-screw extruder:
1. The three screws are arranged in an equilateral triangle and rotate in the same direction, which is equivalent to three pairs of twin screws. A pair of screws has one meshing point, while three screws have three meshing points, so the shearing function is stronger.
2. The central closed area formed by any cross section of the three screws, the size of the central area will change three times with each rotation of the screw. When it becomes larger, the material is sucked in; when it becomes smaller, the material is squeezed out. The principle is equivalent to a three-screw melt pump. After the material is added to the machine, it is mainly sheared initially, but when the material is plasticized, it mainly flows in the central area, and the shearing disappears relatively, and the central area becomes the internal mixing zone. The ratio of the change in the area of the central zone is called the compression ratio. Taking the 3-Φ60 machine as an example, the compression ratio is 46, so the three-screw extruder has 3 times the internal mixing function, so it is called internal mixing three-screw extrusion Machine (like kneading noodles, the more you knead, the more gluten the noodles are).
Advantages of three-screw extruder:
1. Fully plasticized and evenly dispersed.
2. High output.
3. Power saving.
4. The product quality is high.
5. With molecular grafting function, it can be directly used to produce PP foamed beads
6. Compact structure, saving space.
All configurations are on the rack, and there is no external floor space.
7. The machine is safe, reliable and easy to operate.
